24 Sep The Woman Behind the Frames

Terri, certified by the Professional Picture Framer Association (PPFA), has been working in the professional framing business for 20 years. She came to McGuire Fine Arts nine years ago and she has framed many different pieces. She has experience framing precious photos, memorable art from trips abroad, special military medals, needle work, intricate paintings and works on paper. When asked what her favorite part of her job was she said the large variety of projects that are brought into the gallery. “I like to be exact in my work and I like how here at McGuire Fine Arts Gallery we strive for quality work. I haven’t experienced this atmosphere anywhere else. I also appreciate how people are willing to entrust us with these memorable objects I am honored they allow us to be apart of preserving those memories.” When asked what her most memorable framing job was she described the time where she intricately arranged around 400 horse show ribbon rosettes. “The piece was very large and had ribbons won from as far back as the 1940’s. We arranged them by color so it looked like a rainbow when it was finished. It was a project I will likely not do again but one I remember fondly.”
